Eleven Arts and FUNimation Entertainment are bringing the feature length sequel film to the popular FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST anime franchise, FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: THE SACRED STAR OF MILOS (?????? ??????????????, Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Mirosu no Sei-naru Hoshi, 2011), to more than 100 theater screens across North America in January 2012. The Fullmetal Alchemist manga started in 2001 and ended in June 2010, selling over 50 million volumes. It was adapted into an animated TV series of 51 episodes in 2003. A second season of 64 episodes debuted in 2009 on Adult Swim/Cartoon Network. FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: THE SACRED STAR OF MILOS was released in Japan on July 2, 2011. The movie was produced by the animation studio BONES (CoOWBOY BEBOP: THE MOVIE) and directed by Kazuya Murata (assistant director on CODE GEASS). It features the official theme song “Good Luck My Way” by L’Arc-en-Ciel.
