    This past May, VIZ Pictures and National Cinemedia presented a special two night, multi-city US theatrical event for the live-action DEATH NOTE feature film, based on the wildly successful manga and animated series. The movie was screened at over 300 theaters across the country, with many reporting sold-out shows. VIZ is now following up on those first successful DEATH NOTE screenings with two more theater events. First up is the Canadian theatrical debut of DEATH NOTE. The film will screen as a special event in approximately 60 Cineplex Entertainment and Empire Theatres locations across Canada on Monday, September 15 at 9:00pm local time. Ticket price is $10.00 Canadian. This special theatrical event will also include a 20-minute feature on how the manga translates to live action as well as a rare interview with director Shusuke Kaneko. A special DVD advance ticket bundle also went on sale August 29 that includes a ticket to the theatrical screening as well as the DVD of the film. The DEATH NOTE DVD advance ticket bundle has a suggested retail price of $29.99 Canadian.     Prize: A. There are ten prizes in total. Each prize consists of one (1) ticket for either the Canadian screening of DEATH NOTE on September 15 or one of the US screenings of DEATH NOTE II: THE LAST NAME on October 15 and 16. Entrants will be able to choose which film and theater they would like to attend. B. Passes will be available "Will Call" at the selected theater showing the film(s). Winners must present proper identification in order to claim their prize. C. In the event that a winner chooses not to (or cannot) accept a prize, he or she forfeits all claim to that prize. D. One entry per person. Prizes are non-transferable. No substitution of prizes allowed. E. These passes are for admission to the DEATH NOTE or DEATH NOTE II: THE LAST NAME screenings only. VIZ Pictures is providing complimentary admission with the condition that no other benefits are implied. All entries must be complete, including entrant`s name, email address, home phone number, responses to the questionnaire, as well as the theater they will attend. Determination of winners: A. Only contestants who have submitted the requested information and the correctly answered questionnaire will be entered in the final drawing.
