Midnight Movie screening of Miyazaki`s PRINCESS MONONOKE <img src=/space.gif width=116 height=1>March 3, Pasadena CA

Source: Asian Cinema in Los Angeles This Saturday, Landmark’s Rialto Theatre in Pasadena, CA will screen PRINCESS MONONOKE (Mononoke Hime, 1997) as part of their weekly “Midnight Madness at the Rialto”. This animated fantasy film from Studio Ghibli was written and directed by the acclaimed Hayao Miyazaki (MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO, SPIRITED AWAY). PRINCESS MONONOKE broke box office records in Japan and became the first Studio Ghibli movie to be released in the US by Walt Disney (through their Miramax division). The English dubbed version features a script by Neil Gaiman (Sandman, MIRRORMASK) and the voices of actors Claire Danes (MY SO CALLED LIFE, THE HOURS, TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES), Minnie Driver (GOOD WILL HUNTING, GROSSE POINTE BLANK, Disneys TARZAN), Billy Bob Thornton (SLING BLADE, ARMAGEDDON, MONSTER’S BALL), Billy Crudup (SLEEPERS, ALMOST FAMOUS, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III) and Gillian Anderson (THE X-FILES).
