Promotional Campaign and Exhibit for Upcoming Katsuhiro Otomo Film Source: Shochiku Co., Ltd. Official Site: shortpeace-movie.com (Japan), tokyo-monorail.co.jp Shochiku Co., Ltd. has announced the "SHORT PEACE × Tokyo Monorail" (SHORT PEACE×東京モノレール) promotional campaign for their upcoming anime omnibus, SHORT PEACE (ショート・ピース, Shooto Piisu). Led by Katsuhiro Otomo (AKIRA, STEAMBOY), the film is a collaboration between directors Shuhei Morita (FREEDOM), Hiroaki Ando (TEKKONKINKREET) and Hajime Katoki (MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM). The campaign kicks off with a revised SHORT PEACE poster design by collage artist Kosuke Kawamura (HEAVENS LOST PROPERTY, STRIKE WITCHES 2, THUNDERCATS). Previously used for the films second theatrical poster, the artwork has been updated with an illustration of monorail. The new posters will be displayed at Tokyo Monorail stations and inside some train cars. An exhibition of SHORT PEACE production materials and artwork is currently running at the Tokyo Monorail Haneda Airport International Terminal Station through Sunday, August 11th, 2013. Admission is free for attendees who have a Rail Pass or Tokyo Monorail ticket for that day. Tokyo Monorail is also running a contest for SHORT PEACE goods and collectibles. A different keyword is on display at five different Tokyo Monorail stations. Contestants who find all five keywords (and arrange them in the correct order) can be entered in the giveaway by mailing an application to Tokyo Monorail Haneda Airport International Terminal Station. First prize is a SHORT PEACE poster autographed by all four directors. SHORT PEACE opens in theaters across Japan on July 20, 2013.
