    HUNTER x HUNTER is an epic saga of adventures. Penned by Yoshihiro Togashi, it has been serialized on Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha Inc.) magazine since 1998. It follows young Gon and his friends who aim to pass the demanding tests to become a Hunter. Their hopes and dreams touched a chord with young readers, pushing the manga to be a mega-hit, selling 60 million copies to date. The story of the first HUNTER x HUNTER movie, PHANTOM ROUGE, is actually a special idea which has been held back for the right opportunity by manga author Togashi, himself. Story: Friendship, Betrayal and Vengeance Clapica, a Boy Whose Tribe was Massacred for Their Beautiful Eyes... Once there was a small tribe of people called Cluta who lived in a lush and beautiful forest. One day, the Hazard Class-S bandits known as the Phantom Brigade attacked and massacred the entire population... except one. Their objective was the eyes that belonged to the Cluta people, which turn scarlet with excitement. Known as the Eyes of Rouge, the color is considered one of the seven most exquisite hues in the world. The sole survivor is a boy named Clapica. He vows to avenge his people and becomes a Hunter... Clapica`s Eyes Stolen... Gon and Kilua hear the shocking news of somebody stealing Clapica`s eyes. Clapica survived the attack but shocks Gon and Kilua by telling them that it was one of the Cluta survivors who stole his eyes. Are there other survivors?
