MOBILE SUIT ZETA GUNDAM (機動戦士Ζガンダム, Kidō Senshi Zēta Gandamu) is the second "Gundam" TV series that was broadcast from 1985 to 1986. The film version of MOBILE SUIT ZETA GUNDAM A NEW TRANSLATION was a compilation of all 50 episodes of the TV series with new scenes added and reconstructed into three theatrical films. The first part, MOBILE SUIT ZETA GUNDAM A NEW TRANSLATION -HEIRS TO THE STARS- (機動戦士Ζガンダム A New Translation -星を継ぐ者-, Kidō Senshi Zēta Gandamu A New Translation -Hoshi o Tsugu Mono-)" was released in May 2005, followed by MOBILE SUIT ZETA GUNDAM II A NEW TRANSLATION -LOVERS- (機動戦士ΖガンダムII A New Translation -恋人たち-,  Kidō Senshi Zēta Gandamu II A New Translation -Koibitotachi-) in October 2005 and MOBILE SUIT ZETA GUNDAM III A NEW TRANSLATION -LOVE IS THE PULSE OF THE STARS- (機動戦士ΖガンダムIII A New Translation -星の鼓動は愛-, Kidō Senshi Zēta Gandamu III A New Translation -Hoshi no Kodō wa Ai-) in March 2006. The conclusion, which is different from the end of the TV series, was a big hit with Gundam fans.
