RAGNA CRIMSON (ラグナクリムゾン, Raguna Kurimuzon), the dark fantasy anime telling the story of the epic battle between humanity and dragonkind, will start its TV broadcast on Saturday, September 30, 2023. A second trailer, featuring cast members Takehito Koyasu and Reina Ueda, has also been released.

Daiki Kobayashi’s action manga of the same name is currently serialized in Monthly Gangan Joker. The titular Ragna is a dragon hunter, armed with a silver blade and tasked with felling draconic prey. The anime announcement generated buzz both in Japan and overseas.

The anime will begin its broadcast on September 30th on TOKYO MX, MBS, and BS11. The second trailer for RAGNA CRIMSON has also been released. It was previously shown at AnimeJapan in March, to much excitement from event attendees. In this new trailer, audiences are introduced to dragon hunter Ragna (voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi) and his partner Crimson (voiced by Ayumu Murase) in their quest to bring the overwhelmingly powerful monsters to their demise. Also featured for the first time are Grymwelte (voiced by Takehito Koyasu) and Ultimatia (voiced by Reina Ueda).

With this second trailer entering the fray, it’s clear RAGNA CRIMSON will be one of the most intense anime of the Fall season!

Please look forward to more updates in the future.

      CAST COMMENTS

    Reina Ueda (Voice of Ultimatia)

When I first read the manga, I was really drawn to Ultimatia.

Imagine how happy I was when I landed the role!

She seems like a young girl as delicate and fragile as glass, but from her words and actions, there’s something beyond the kind facade -- something off-putting.

I hope you all enjoy Ragna Crimson!

    Takehito Koyasu (Voice of Grymwelte)

Whenever I went in for recording, I always went at it as if I had a serious chance of beating the main character -- but sheesh, is he tough (laughs).

It’s fun to play the villain, but I can’t say I like losing battles. (laughs)

How many times do you think it’ll take before I taste sweet, sweet victory?

I’d better give it my all!
