Distributor Toei Co., Ltd. has provided press notes and high-res imagess from THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS -PRISONERS OF THE SKY- (??? ????? ???????, Nanatsu no Taizai Tenk? no Torawarebito), the first feature film spin-off from the anime series based on Nakaba Suzuki`s manga. Featuring animation by A-1 Pictures (SWORD ART ONLINE), the movie is directed by Noriyuki Abe and Yasuto Nishikata (BLEACH, BLACK BUTLER: BOOK OF THE ATLANTIC), written by Makoto Uezu (ASSASSINATION CLASSROOM), features character designs by Keigo Sasaki (THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS series, BLUE EXORCIST) and music by Hiroyuki Sawano (ATTACK ON TITAN, MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM UC) and Ttakafumi Wada (TERRAFORMARS: REVENGE). THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS -PRISONERS OF THE SKY- opens in Japanese cinemas on August 18th.

This is the world where fairies, goddesses and demons exist. A legendary band of knights known as "The Seven Deadly Sins" and one princess had saved a great country of Liones from the brink of destruction from Demons. A short time has now passed since peace was brought to the Kingdom of Liones. The Seven Deadly Sins have journeyed to the frontier to look for sky fish, an ingredient needed for the King`s birthday celebration. While seeking the fish, Hawk the pig and Meliodas go to the Sky Temple, a "heavenly palace" existing above the clouds. There they discover that the Sky People are in conflict with "The Six Black Knights", a demonic group led by Bellion, that are attempting to unleash a demonic beast sealed away three thousand years ago. The Seven Deadly Sins stand together to protect the world!
