CCP Middle Size Series Godzilla Vol. 13 Plated Paint Figures Coming in June

The Japanese figure manufacturer CCPJAPAN has begun accepting pre-orders for the "CCP Middle Size Series Godzilla [Vol.12] (CCP ミドルサイズシリーズゴジラ【第13弾】, CCP Midoru Saizu Shirīzu Gojira [Dai 13-dan])," retro-design soft vinyl figures of monsters from the popular "Godzilla" special effects film series, at hobby shops, mass retailers, and online stores across Japan.

Based on the concept of “an old-school/new-school, yet slightly old-fashioned soft vinyl monster series,” the popular Middle Size figure line measure 12 cm in height and fits in the palm of your hand, making it easy to collect. This is a collection series by CCPJAPAN for soft vinyl and monster lovers, with a retro-style deformation that gives a nostalgic and somewhat “Showa-era retro” feel to the figures.

Series [Vol. 13] features five figures, painted with special paint to create a plated look. The whole body of the soft vinyl shines brightly, almost like metal.

Metal plating is done by a custom contractor, which makes it very expensive to do for soft vinyl, but this product uses a paint process to create the plating effect, making it possible to deliver it at a relatively reasonable price. However, even though it is inexpensive, quality is not compromised, and craftsmen have made repeated adjustments to enhance the shine, paying particular attention to the base and temperature of the paint, resulting in a luxurious product.

CCP Middle Size Series Godzilla [Vol.13] will be released in Japan in June 2025. Fans in North America should check Toho's Official Godzilla Store in the coming weeks for pre-order details.

The original Godzilla from From GODZILLA (ゴジラ, 1954), the symbol of the Godzilla series, is painted in a gold coloring that gives off an expensive and dazzling impression. The special paint gives it a golden shine that makes it look like a trophy, a finish befitting the King of the Monsters.

Godzilla (1964), commonly known as Mosugoji, is presented in a shiny silver color in contrast to the slightly deeper gold of Godzilla (1954). The entire body is finished in a glittering plated silver.

Even the Mothra larva biting Godzilla's tail, a distinctive feature of the CCP Middle Size Series Godzilla (1964), has been painted all over in silver, except for its red eyes.

Gigan's entire body is plated painted in silver, its shiny, metallic appearance matches the fact that it is a cyborg monster modified by aliens. In addition, the highly reflective silver finish allows fans to enjoy Gigan's well-balanced, retro-deformed form even more.

Hedorah is one of the most popular monsters in the Godzilla series. The same slightly smoky, deep gold paint from Godzilla (1954) is used here for a luxurious finish.

Hedorah's distinctive eyes are purple, creating a balance that stands out even more against the gold-colored body.
