Toho has provided information and images for the feature film EMERGENCY INTERROGATION ROOM: THE FINAL (劇場版「緊急取調室 THE FINAL」, Gekijōban “Kinkyū Torishirabe Shitsu THE FINAL ”). It is a continuation of the TV Asahi drama series, EMERGENCY INTERROGATION ROOM, which aired for four seasons from 2014 to 2021. The movie opens in Japanese cinemas on Friday, June 16h.

The series and film follow the explots of a special interrogation team of Investigation Division 1, the Emergency Case Response Interrogation Team that confronts troublesome suspects in a special interrogation room. Commonly known as "Kintori," the team includes leader Katsutoshi Kajiyama (Tetsushi Tanaka), Detective Yukiko Makabe (Yuki Amami) and a collection of quirky veteran investigators like Susumu Hishimoto (Denden) and Haruo Koishikawa (Fumiyo Kohinata) who engage in a "verbal firefight and psychological warfare" with criminals to uncover the hidden truth of each case.

The Interrogation Room is seen as the “last battleground” between investigator and suspect.

Police officers, lawyers, doctors, newscasters, teachers, chess players, office workers, psychics, housewives, activists, high school students, robots, businessmen, professional boxers, parrots... approximately 100 suspects have been interrogated in the series so far. The exchanges, probing and tense brainstorming. The witty verbal exchanges and skilled teamwork of the Kintori members have led to the solution of numerous cases, creating many fans throughout Japan. And then--!

The Emergency Case Response Interrogation Team engages in a closed room mental shootout against the Prime Minister of Japan! The most difficult interrogation in Kintori's history begins now!

Story

The final enemy is the Prime Minister.

In the midst of a series of super typhoons and a state of national emergency, Prime Minister Yojiro Osanai (Ichikawa Ennosuke) arrives 10 minutes late for a disaster response meeting. Furthermore, Hiromichi Morishita (Kuranosuke Sasaki), a violent criminal, appears to denounce the "blank 10 minutes," and an attack on the prime minister ensues.

The Metropolitan Police Department decides to urgently convene Kintori in order to quickly solve the terrorist incident that Morishita has caused. Yukiko Makabe (Yuki Amami) and the rest of the Kintori team begin their interrogation, but Morishita does not give a motive for the crime, but rather makes reckless demands to bring the prime minister into the interrogation room! Morishita repeatedly makes reckless demands.

As Morishita's interrogation reaches an impasse, "certain suspicions" about Prime Minister Osanai emerge.

We want to interrogate the prime minister.

Yukiko sets out to interview the prime minister in order to find out the truth...
