Seibuen Yuenchi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture, President: Tatsuya Yoda) struck gold late last month at the "VFX-JAPAN Award 2023". The Seibuen Amusement Park's large-scale ride attraction “Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle” (ゴジラ・ザ・ライド大怪獣頂上決戦, Gojira za Raido Daikaijū Chōjō Kessen) won the Grand Prize in the Short Film category.
The VFX-JAPAN association was established in 2012 to promote the use of CG and VFX technology in the Japanese entertainment and amusement industries, product design and scientific applications. The VFX-JAPAN Award began the following year to honor excellence in visual works that utilize CG and VFX, with awards in eight categories including theatrical live-action film, theatrical animated film, and game. “Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle” marks the first time in the history of this award that a theme or amusement park attraction has won the highest award in any category.*

◆ About “Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle”
The world's first permanent, large-scale Godzilla ride attraction, “Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle” is an amusement park ride of unparalleled scale and quality, created by the incrediblet tag team of Japan's leading VFX and film director, Takashi Yamazaki, and the "design experience" group Katana Marketing and Entertainment Co., Ltd. The ride is of an unbelievable scale and quality. Guests are thrown into the midst of fierce battles between Godzilla and King Ghidorah, and will enjoy a series of thrills that will suddenly strike them, creating an extremely exciting experience that will leave them breathless.
The experience holds a remarkable 97% guest satisfaction rating. After the ride is over, a standing ovation -- or "Godzilla Ovation" (ゴジラ・オベーション, Gojira Obēshon) -- usually follows. The visual beauty of the ride is beyond anything seen in the movies, with an overwhelming visual quality of approximately 380 million polygons. Because Godzilla and King Ghidorah are iseen at ultra-close range, every inch of their mouths and bodies have been created in ultra-high definition. In addition, the sound effects, which are 12 times more intense than those of a movie, are incorporated into the 5-minute experience, and guests are immersed in 7.1ch surround sound.
