    Notable North American Openers:

    Warner Bros.’ THE CONJURING: THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT enjoyed an excellent debut taking the top spot by raking in $24.010 in 3,102 locations and has the biggest R-rated opening of the pandemic.The film is the seventh in the hugely popular “Conjuring” Universe which has earned nearly $2B in global box office. Vera Farmiga & Patrick Wilson star once again as Ed and Lorraine Warren as they become involved with one of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they'd ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.  

    Universal opened SPIRIT UNTAMED in North America this weekend taking in $6.2M in 3,211 locations. This PG-rated epic animated adventure features an all-star voice cast including Julianne Moore, Jake Gyllenhaal, Isabela Merced, Andre Braugher, Walton Goggins, Mckenna Grace, Marsai Martin, Eiza González and is directed by Elaine Bogan, Ennio Torresan & Aury Wallington.  

    Purdie Distribution WITNESSES opened this weekend to $155k in 84 Total Locations. The film stars Michael Zuccola, Caleb J. Spivak, Lincoln Hoppe, Paul Wuthrich, Camrey Bagley Fox and is directed by Mark Goodman.  

    Neon released ALL LIGHT EVERYWHERE SUPER in 2 locations to $5,213 for a PTA of $2,607.   

    Top Films in North America:

    Paramount continues to ride a wave of great reviews and tremendous box office with A QUIET PLACE PART II that continues to generate massive audience excitement for the movie theater experience with a $19.5M second weekend in 3,744 locations for a cume through Sunday of $88.611M. The innovative and chilling horror film stars Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Noah Jupe, Brian Tyree Henry, Millicent Simmonds and is directed John Krasinski.  

    Disney’s CRUELLA now in weekend two earned $11.2M in 3,922 locations for a cume to date of $43.7M. The origin story of one of the most famous movie villains in film history stars Emma Stone as the titular character and an all-star cast including Emma Thompson, Mark Strong, Emily Beecham, Paul Walter Hauser, Joel Fry, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and is directed by Craig Gillespie.  

    Disney’s RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON now in weekend 14 earned an estimated $1.306 million for a N. Am. cume to date of $53.528M. From directors Don Hall and Carlos LApez Estrada, co-directors Paul Briggs and John Ripa, producers Osnat Shurer and Peter Del Vecho, and featuring the voices of Kelly Marie Tran as Raya and Awkwafina as Sisu. 

    Notable International Performers:

    THE CONJURING: THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT earned $50.808M this weekend ($26.798M internationally and $24.010 in N. America) for a global total to date of $57.136M in 45 markets. The Conjuring Horror-verse continues to be the largest Horror Franchise in the Industry, thus bringing the Global total to date to $1.860B.  

    Paramount’s A QUIET PLACE PART II grossed $19.2M on the 2nd international weekend in 16 markets including 4 new openings.The international cume is now $50M. This represents 47% of the international footprint. On a like for like basis this cume result is 15% ahead of A Quiet Place. New openings:The UK opened at #1 grossing an excellent $5.1M including previews at 563 locations. Russia’s #1 opening delivered an outstanding $4M including previews from 1,700 locations.Poland opened at #1 grossing $245K including previews. 

    Universal Pictures’ FAST 9, the ninth chapter in the Fast & Furious Saga earned $13.373M in 8 international territories this weekend for an international cume to date of $244.979M and according to Universal, the film is tracking to gross more than $200M in China becoming 1 of only 19 U.S. titles to have ever passed $200M at the box office in China.With F9, Universal will now have 6 films that have crossed $200M in China, passing Disney (5) for the most titles over $200M for a single studio. In Korea F9 has now become the biggest MPA title of 2020 & 2021 surpassing the lifetime of Disney’s Soul. F9 races into theatres domestically June 25th

    RUROUNI KENSHIN: THE BEGINNING grossed a fantastic ¥502.4m ($4.5m) on 481 screens and ranking #1.A "Rurouni Kenshin: The Final" Film Partners production, led by Warner Bros. Pictures Japan 

    Sony Pictures International’s release of Columbia Pictures’ PETER RABBIT 2: THE RUNAWAY delivered another $4M this weekend, down just 20% from 4,000+ screens in 14 markets for an international cume of $45.8M.    

    Sony Pictures International’s release of Funimation’s DEMON SLAYER THE MOVIE: MUGEN TRAIN, the Japanese anime blockbuster based on the popular manga series, grossed $188K this weekend for a Sony Pictures Releasing International cume of $3.1 million from 719 screens in two markets. In Russia, DEMON SLAYER ranks as the highest grossing anime film as well as Japanese production with an impressive cume of $1.7 million. In the UK, the film has reached $1.4 million.

    THE CONJURING: THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT lights up the IMAX network this weekend, while F9: THE FAST SAGA reaches $21m IMAX global box office.

    Warner Bros.’ THE CONJURING: THE DEVIL MADE ME DO ITsummons $2.1m from the IMAX Domestic network this weekend, 8.8% of the nationwide total, despite capacity limits averaging 50% across the U.S.The global IMAX cume for C3 reaches $3.3m, with $1.2m earned to-date from IMAX screens in select international markets, including UK, Mexico, and South Korea. This latest installment of the billion-dollar horror franchise adds another 92 IMAX screens in 11 markets this week, including Russia and France.  

    Paramount’s A QUIET PLACE PART II earns $1.1m IMAX box office in its 2ndweekend of release, pushing its global IMAX cume to $8.3m, with the Domestic network contributing $6.1m of the IMAX total.In the UK, AQP2 opens to $430K, the strongest IMAX opening in the market since TENET in August 2020. This week, A QUIET PLACE 2 adds 65 IMAX screens in 18 markets, including Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, and UAE.  

    Universal’s FAST 9 adds $900K, pushing the IMAX global cume-to-date to $21m.Of the weekend total, $770K comes from the IMAX China network, where the latest iteration of the Fast & Furious Saga has earned $17.9m, nearly 9% of the nationwide total.
