The "Godzilla Interception Operation - National Awaji Island Institute of Godzilla Disaster" (ゴジラ迎撃作戦 ~国立ゴジラ淡路島研究センター~, Gojira Geigeki Sakusen ~ Kokuritsu Gojira Awajishima Kenkyū Sentā ~) attraction at the "Nijigen no Mori" anime theme park in Awaji Island Park, Hyogo Prefecture will add a new Godzilla-themed venue where preschool age children can enjoy their first handcrafting experience with their families and friends. Entitled “Chibi Godzilla Good Friends" (ちびゴジラなかよしこうさく, Chibi Gojira Nakayoshi Kōsaku), the attraction will lauch on Saturday, July 8 and become a permanent part of "Godzilla Interception Operation," continuing after the end of the park's summer "Awaji GODZILLA Festival".

"Chibi Godzilla Good Friends" is based on the Chibi Godzilla characters designed by Chiharu Sakazaki to be an "introductory Godzilla" that younger children can relate to. Chibi Godzilla and his monster friends have been featured in a collection of books, a web series, and merchandising and can currently be seen in the anime series CHIBI GODZILLA RAIDS AGAIN (ちびゴジラの逆襲, Chibi Gojira no Gyakushū).

At this venue, guests will be able to handcraft three types of traditional toys from Awaji Island that have been adorned with new Chibi Godzilla designs...

“Chibi Godzilla's Radiant Heat Ray Blowback" (ちびゴジラの放射熱線吹き戻し, Chibi Gojira no Hōsha Nessen Fuki Modoshi)

    ●  “Chibi Godzilla's Pitter-Patter Animation" (ちびゴジラたちのパタパタアニメーション, Chibi Gojiratachi no Patapata Animēshon)

    ●  "Tonton Sumo Tournament on Monster Island" (怪獣島のトントン相撲大会, Kaijū Shima no Tonton Sumō Taikai)

These can be played with immediately and also taken home as souvenirs of their visit to the park. The craft area will be set up in "Kaiju Keeper" (カイジュウノモリ, Kaijū no Mori) children's zone when they can also play with approximately 50 different types of Toho special effects monster soft vinyl figures.
