The Japanese figure manufacturer CCPJAPAN is now accepting pre-orders for an Ultraman figure, part of the 1/6 scale Tokusatsu Series, which offers larger, more detailed figures that accurately reproduce the character designs seen in the classic television shows. This figure will be available at hobby shops, mass retailers, and online stores across japan in October.

CCP Japan 1/6 Tokusatsu Series Ultraman (B Type) Teleportation Earth Appearance High Grade Ver. (1/6特撮シリーズ ウルトラマン(Bタイプ)テレポーテーション地球出現 ハイグレード Ver., 1/6 Tokusatsu Shirīzu Urutoraman (Bī Taipu) Terepōtēshon Chikyū Shutsugen Haigurēdo Ver.)

Repainted and released as a high-grade version, this Ultraman (B Type) figure is inspired by the scene where Ultraman activates his "teleportation" ability during the battle with the Alien Baltan II in ULTRAMAN Episode 16:THE SCIENCE PATROL INTO SPACE (科特隊宇宙へ, Katokutai Uchū e). He returns to Earth from Planet R, with the memorable narration, "However, using this will significantly shorten his own life."

It is a well-known fact that the original ULTRAMAN series used A, B, and C type suits during production. The sculpture of this figure is based on the "B Type" Ultraman suit used in the Episodes 14-29 of the show, which many fans consider the best of the three suits from the show. Compared to the earlier "A Type," the B Type has a smoother face with no wrinkles, a more massive upper body, and pointed shoes.

What makes this product so appealing above all is the pose and coloring that recreates the teleportation scene. Beautiful blue gradation paint has been added, and the unique effect that occurs when teleporting is recreated through coloring. In addition, the intensity of the shadows that can be felt when viewing on screen has been expressed using shadow coloring, enhancing the three-dimensional effect.

    About CCPJAPAN

CCPJAPAN's Unique Realism with Soft Vinyl

Soft vinyl is a half-century old technique in Japan. It is a hollow molded product obtained by polymerizing vinyl chloride monomer by pouring it into a mold and heating it, and the doll made through this process is called soft vinyl.

Hollow, lightweight, and unbreakable are the greatest characteristics of soft vinyl. The production speed is fast, and the cost of molds is inexpensive, making it a molding method that can produce a relatively small number of products for a small number of needs.

CCP has continued to produce works of manga, anime, and special effects, representative of Japanese POP culture, under the theme of “preserving them for posterity as three-dimensional materials. CCPJAPAN has continued to produce works based on the theme of “preserving Japanese pop culture, manga, anime, and special effects works as three-dimensional materials for posterity. Compared to fragile ceramics, CCPJAPAN produces mainly soft vinyl works that will last for hundreds or even thousands of years.

About 20 years ago, CCPJAPAN established a method of expressing realistic details and molding techniques for soft vinyl, and through its advanced coloring techniques, CCPJAPAN's works aim for greater realism. We hope you will experience the realism and unique sensibility of CCPJAPAN through our works.
