Following his appearance as a guest at G-Fest in Chicago this past weekend, daikaiju movie director Shinpei Hayashiya will be stopping in Los Angeles for a special event at Anime Jungle on Wednesday, July 16th at 8:30 pm. Shinpei Hayashiya has achieved success in Japan as a master of Rakugo, a traditional Japanese form of comedic monologue. He is also a big fan of kaiju films, and has directed two movies that have been released to Japanese theaters: REIGO VS YAMATO (???????, Shinkaijuu Reigoo, 2005/2008) and DEEP SEA MONSTER RAIGA (?????, Shinkai-juu Raiba, 2009). Mr. Hayashiya also directed the legendary independent production GAMERA 4: TRUTH (???4 ??, Gamera 4 Shinjitsu, 2003). At Wednesday`s "Shinpei Night -Shinpei Hayahiya in Jungle-", Mr. Hayashiya will discuss his career in making tokusatsu films, answer questions from the audience and sign autographs*.
