First English Details On New Japanese Monster Comedy KAIJU YARROW!

A SCIFI JAPAN EXCLUSIVE

Production has begun and casting calls for extras have opened on an exciting new independent Japanese giant monster movie comedy entitled KAIJU YARROW! (怪獣ヤロウ!, Kaijū Yarō!).

The film is being directed by Award-winning indie filmmaker Junichiro Yagi and produced by Mitsuyo Ota, both of Titan Co., Ltd JP. Comedian/actor/YouTube superstar Gunpee (Gunpi) is set to make his feature film debut as the film's star. The production is a joint effort with the lovely city of Seki in the Gifu prefecture of Japan to promote tourism.

KAIJU YARROW! is set in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture. One day, 30 year old Ichiro Yamada, who works in the tourism department of a government office, is ordered by the mayor to produce a "local film.''

However, Yamada, didn't want to produce the typical "mediocre local movies'' that are everywhere nowadays, so he comes up with the idea of making a "monster movie'', which has been his life-long dream. However, his dreams develops into a major incident involving the city government...!

Will Yamada be able to complete his life goal of making a monster movie??

The director Junichiro Yagi, a life-long mega-fanboy of Godzilla and it's star Gunpee also an admitted fan of Big G hope that kaiju fans worldwide will look forward to the movie's release which is estimated for spring of 2025.

The film will be distributed theatrically in Japan by Aya Pro JP (Aya Productions).
