Benelic Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Takeshi Yokoyama) will open the "M78ULTRAMAN POPUP SHOP" at Yurakucho Marui (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) for a limited time from June 3rd to June 17th, 2025, where the popular M78 Ultraman goods from the official Ultraman series shop "Ultraman World M78" will be available for purchase.

 

■ About M78 Ultraman

With character designs by Kazuyuki Nakada, the M78 Ultraman line was created to express certain elements of Ultraman’s personality and universe that can’t be shown in traditional Ultraman series. Nakada explained that, "We’ve all over-exerted ourselves like Ultraman at some point or another. Ultraman, like a normal human, has times when he wants to act but can’t. He’s strong but even he gets into a pinch sometimes. So we showed the concept of `working for justice` is unique way by having M78 Ultraman do things like collect garbage and other familiar tasks that kids can relate to. When people give their all, they often sweat from their forehead. This emphasizes humanity, and helps us root for a character. Thus, because M78 Ultraman is always giving it his all, he always has sweat coming from his forehead."

The character designs from M78 Ultraman have been featured on a wide variety of products sold through the official Ultraman store chain, "Ultraman World M78," as well as the theatrical short ULTRAMAN: M78 THEATER (ウルトラマンM78劇場 Love & Peace, Urutoraman Emu Nana Hachi Gekijō Rabu ando Pīsu, 1999).
