The Japanese figure manufacturer CCPJAPAN is now accepting preorders for their new Tyrant figure, part of their 1/6 scale Tokusatsu Series mthat offers larger, more detailed figures that accurately reproduce the kaiju designs seen in the classic Ultraman television shows.  This figure will be available at hobby shops, mass retailers, and online stores.

Introduced in ULTRAMAN TARO Episode 40: SURPASS THE ULTRA BROTHERS! (ウルトラ兄弟を超えてゆけ!, Urutora Kyōdai o Koete Yuke!), Tyrant is one of the strongest monsters in the Ultra Series, and is now available in a color scheme inspired by the planetary battles in the show!

Standing 62m tall, and weighing 57,000 tons, it is a powerful, combined monster made up of previous Tsuburaya monsters, with a unique appearance even among the Ultraman kaiju. Its head is from Seagorath, its ears are Alien Icarus, its body is Bemstar, its arms are Baraba, its back is Hanzagiran, its legs are Red King, and its tail is King Crab.

Tyrant began its advance on Earth, defeating the 5 Ultra Brothers in succession: Zoffy on Neptune, Ultraman on Uranus, Ultraseven on Saturn, Ultraman Jack on Jupiter, and Ultraman Ace on Mars. When Tyrant attacked Earth, it clashed with Taro, who was able to impale the monster with his Ultra Lance, causing it to explode.

Tyrant, one of the most powerful monsters in the Showa Ultraman series, is now available in a color scheme that is more in keeping with the appearance of the monster in the ULTRAMAN TARO show!!

 

■ Modeling

Even among the 1/6 Tokusatsu Effects series, Tyrant is particularly large and impressive, standing 37cm tall. By making full use of soft vinyl molding and dividing Tyrant into several parts, this monster with a complex silhouette has been turned into a figure.

In addition, this work comes with two different head pieces...

・Head A, which is based on the new suit seen in modern series like ULTRA GALAXY MEGA MONSTER BATTLE: NEVER ENDING ODYSSEY.

・Head B, which is based on the face of the Showa era suit.

■ Coloring

The Tyrant Space Attack figure has coloring that replicates the monster's appearance in ULTRAMAN TARO. The biggest feature of this product is that the color, which was close to silver in previous products, has been changed to a bluish color. While fighting the Ultra Brothers on different planets, Tyrant's body had a very blue impression, applified by the night lighting in those scenes.

Based on the reference material from ULTRAMAN TARO, red coloring has been added to the tips of the horns on the head. The eyeballs are also colored yellowish to reproduce the look of the glowing eyes in the show.

The abdomen is a darker color that evokes the image of night, and a slightly bluer color has been added, while the feet have been painted with a more vibrant gold color.

The entire body has been inked, giving it a high-grade finish that allows fans to clearly enjoy the details of the beautiful gradation and shadow coloring.
