Yesterday, ONE PIECE Night, a one-day stadium promotion of the global hit franchise ONE PIECE, took place at Dodger Stadium for the 7:10 p.m. match-up between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox. Sponsored by legendary studio Toei Animation in partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers, ONE PIECE Night provided a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience to ticketholders at the sold-out game.

Upon entering the turnstile for tonight’s game, the first 40,000 fans received both an L.A. Dodgers ONE PIECE co-branded straw hat and a limited-edition card from the ONE PIECE CARD GAME featuring one-time special occasion collaboration art drawn by ONE PIECE Creator Eiichiro Oda. Inside, Dodger Stadium was “painted” with ONE PIECE through imagery and animations displayed across not only the video screens wrapping around and throughout the facility but also the two giant Dodger Vision screens in the outfield. Throughout the evening, fans could purchase branded concession items, including, milkshakes, Icees, fountain drinks and soft serve ice cream, as well as visit three different photo activations featuring ONE PIECE Night event and card art that were located in the centerfield and left/right reserve sections.

During the game, fans were treated to a celebrity first pitch by Emily Rudd, who portrayed Nami in the ONE PIECE live-action series. In the 4th inning, the game featured a special ONE PIECE virtual noise meter displayed on the Dodger Vision screens. And immediately following the game, a never-before-seen, 12-minute ONE PIECE drone show filled the sky above Dodger Stadium.

ONE PIECE is produced by Toei Animation and based on the best-selling manga created by Eiichiro Oda. This iconic episodic series follows pirate Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat crew on their epic quest to find the “One Piece,” the legendary treasure of Gol D. Rogers, former King of the Pirates. Now over 25 years since its Japanese TV premiere in 1999, ONE PIECE has taken its place in mainstream pop culture—attracting millions of fans of all ages and around the world. Today, the ONE PIECE franchise has grown beyond the original currently running episodic series to encompass 15 feature films, numerous video games, a trading card game and an ever-expanding catalog of licensed merchandise and location-based entertainment.
