Tickets are on sale now for MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO – a classic tale of magic and adventure for the whole family when Satsuki and her sister Mei move with their father to a new home in the countryside, they find country life is not as simple as it seems. They soon discover that the house and nearby woods are full of strange and delightful creatures, including a gigantic but gentle forest spirit called Totoro. Brought to you by Academy Award winning director Hayao Miyazaki, the staple family feature returns to theatres this June for five nationwide screenings. GKIDS and Fathom Entertainment are delighted to continue Studio Ghibli Fest with the 2025 edition featuring an eight-title lineup of beloved Studio Ghibli films including the celebration of the 15th anniversary of THE SECRET WORLD OF ARRIETTY.
Audiences can look forward to Studio Ghibli Fest 2025’s eight-title lineup of films, including THE BOY AND THE HERON, re-entering theatres for the first time since its release. MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO will be shown in both original Japanese and English dubbed versions.
In addition to the full feature, screenings will include a post-film clip from bonus featurette, “Creating the Characters” with Hayao Miyazaki and Toshio Suzuki. Tickets for MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO can be purchased online by visiting GhibliFest.com, or at participating theatre box offices (Theatre participants are subject to change).
MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO (となりのトトロ, Tonari no Totoro, 1988)
When Satsuki and her sister Mei move with their father to a new home in the countryside, they find country life is not as simple as it seems. They soon discover that the house and nearby woods are full of strange and delightful creatures, including a gigantic but gentle forest spirit called Totoro, who can only be seen by children. Totoro and his friends introduce the girls to a series of adventures, including a ride aboard the extraordinary Cat Bus, in this all-ages animated masterpiece featuring the voices of Tim Daly, Lea Salonga, and real-life sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning, in early roles.
