Light Turner is a high school student who begins a crusade to rid the world of evil when he finds a notebook that has the power to kill anyone whose name is written in it. But is he Savior or Sadist? Mia Sutton is the high school girlfriend of Light Turner, who embarks on a crusade alongside him to rid the world of evil with the `Death Note.` Based on the famous Japanese manga by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, the Netflix original film is directed by Adam Wingard (BLAIR WITCH, YOU`RE NEXT) and stars Nat Wolff (PAPER TOWNS, THE FAULT OF OUR STARS) as Light Turner, Margaret Qualley (THE LEFTOVERS) as Mia Sutton, Lakeith Stanfield (GET OUT, STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON) as L, Paul Nakauchi (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD`S END) as Watari, Shea Whigham (AMERICAN HUSTLE, KONG: SKULL ISLAND) as James Turner and Willem Dafoe (SPIDER-MAN, PLATOON) as the voice of Ryuk.
