Many people who love the Ultraman series have purchased soft vinyl figures of the different heroes and monsters from the franchise. TV Magazine Deluxe 262: Definitive Edition - Ultra Soft Vinyl Series Complete Super Encyclopedia (テレビマガジンデラックス262　決定版　ウルトラソフビシリーズ　コンプリート超百科, Terebi Magajin Derakkusu 262 Ketteiban Urutora Sofubi Shirīzu Konpurīto Chō Hyakka), to be released on September 4th by the Japanese publisher Kodansha, is a guide to the current lineup of products from Bandai's "Ultra Hero Series" and "Ultra Monster Series." The book covers figures from the original Ultraman to the latest hero Ultraman Blazar, and monsters from Alien Baltan to the latest figure, Baby Demaaga. Furthermore, subsets such as the large "DX" series and the "Advance" series with its fun gimmicks and actions are included. A total of 393 soft vinyl figures are presented.

All the photos of the figures have been newly taken so there will be no sense of déjà vu for fans as if they had seen the pics somewhere before. In addition to the standard forward-facing photo, a backward-facing shot is also included for each figure. Each entry also includes a photo of the figure's Bandai tag plus a an image from the TV episode or movie that featured the character. Finally, a mini-commentary is included, as only TV Magazine, which has published a series of books on the Ultraman series, can provide.
