Bluefin, a subsidiary of Bandai Namco Collectibles, has provided SciFi Japan with product specs and GIANT high-res photos of their S.H.Figuarts Ultraman figure from the upcoming movie SHIN ULTRAMAN (シン・ウルトラマン, Shin Urutoraman).

The S.H.Figuarts Shin Ultraman figure can now be preordered from Bandai’s Tamashii Nations Store on Amazon and other retailers.

    S.H.Figuarts Shin Ultraman/ S.H.Figuarts シン・ウルトラマン

Shin Ultraman, as envisioned by producer Hideaki Anno (EVANGELION, SHIN GODZILLA), joins S.H.Figuarts! The hero is based on the original design by Toru Narita, who served as the art director of art for “ULTRA Q (ウルトラQ, Urutora Q, 1966), ULTRAMAN (シン・ウルトラマン, Shin Urutoraman, 1966-67) and ULTRASEVEN (ウルトラセブン, Urutora Sebun, 1967-68) and was a major influence on the world view of the Ultra Series that continues to this day. In 1983, Narita created an oil painting entitled “Incarnation of Truth, Justice and Beauty” that depicted his original Ultrsman design, that did not include the hero’s Color Timer. Anno was inspired by the painting to bring this version of Ultraman to the screen, resulting in SHIN ULTRAMAN.

Shin Ultraman’s figure is based on the body shape data of the first Ultraman suit actor, Bin Furuya. The S.H.Figuarts figure captures those lanky proportions and comes with a wide range of motion allowing Ultraman to be posed in a variety of ways, including firing his Spacium Ray and taking flight.

The set includes the Shin Ultraman figure and three pairs optional pair of hands.
