Last fall, Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. kicked off the Ultraseven 55th Anniversary Project (ウルトラセブン55周年, Urutorasebun 55-Shūnen), celebrating the anniversary of the original ULTRASEVEN (ウルトラセブン, Urutorasebun, 1967-68) televsion series. Over the past year there have been Ultraseven anniversary exhibitions, screenings and merchandising in Japan. Now Mill Creek Entertainment joins in on the fun with the ULTRASEVEN: 55TH ANNIVERSARY ANTHOLOGY Blu-ray set, coming November 14, 2023!
Running 27 hours and 25 minutes, the ANNIVERSARY ANTHOLOGY is a "best of" collection of 55 select Ultraseven-themed episodes, movies and specials from across the Ultraman franchise. Alongside the original incarnation of the hero and his Dan Moroboshi alter ego, this set features variants like Ultraseven X and the evil Ultrasevens, the animated kid version Sev, the Seven-inspired Ultraseven 21, and Ultraseven's son, Ultraman Zero!
Note: While most episodes in this set are remastered in 1080p HD, some are presented as "SD on Blu-ray" due to HD masters not being currently available from Tsuburaya Productions.
