Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. has provided SciFi Japan with information, poster art, large photos and a trailer for ULTRAMAN TAIGA THE MOVIE: NEW GENERATION CLIMAX (??????????????????????????, Gekij?-ban Urutoraman Taiga Ny? Jene Kuraimakkusu). The latest Ultraman theatrical feature film will open in Japanese cinemas on Friday, March 6, 2020. ULTRAMAN TAIGA THE MOVIE continues from the ULTRAMAN TAIGA (?????????, Urutoraman Taiga) television series that ends its TV Tokyo broadcast run on Saturday, December 28, 2019. The son of the legendary Ultra Brother, Ultraman Taro., Taiga formed a team called the Tri-Squad with two other Ultramen, Titus and Fuma. The three heroes have integrated with Hiroyuki Kudo (played by Yuki Inoue), allowing the earthling to transform into multiple Ultramen. ULTRAMAN TAIGA is the latest of the “New Generation Heroes” series that began with ULTRAMAN GINGA (?????????, Urutoraman Ginga) in 2013. With seven consecutive series in as many years, the “New Generation Heroes” line has the longest run in the entire Ultraman franchise. On Sunday, December 15, the lead actors of those shows -- Yuki Inoue, Yuya Hirata, Ryosuke Koike, Tatsuomi Hamada, Hideo Ishiguro, Kensuke Takahashi, Kiyotaka Uji, Takuya Negishi and Ayuri Yoshinaga -- joined director Ryuichi Ichino, and eight New Generation Ultramen for the "New Generation 8 Stars Meeting" at TSUBURAYA CONVENTION 2019. There they announced that ULTRAMAN TAIGA THE MOVIE would be a team-up of all the New Generation Heroes.

"This day has finally come! I was wondering when I could tell you about this movie," Yuki Inoue explained to fans attending the event. "I am very happy to be able to make the announcement in front of all of you. It`s an honor to have all the New Generations appear with Taiga". Asked about the movie, director Ryuichi Ichino answered with a laugh. "Taiga and his father Taro are finally fighting. It becomes such a big event that all of the New Generation Heroes rush there! I can`t say anything more than that!"

Many of the actors from the previous New Generation series expressed their pleasure at working together in ULTRAMAN TAIGA THE MOVIE. Takuya Negishi (Hikaru Raido/Ultraman Ginga) said, "I was happy to make a movie with everyone. I`m glad that what GINGA started continued for seven series." "When I arrived on set, there were so many cast and crew members from the different series there... That means we are getting old," laughed Kensuke Takahashi (Daichi Ozora from ULTRAMAN X). "But we still love Ultraman even as we age." Hideo Ishiguro (Gai Kurenai/Ultraman Orb) noted that, "I think we can stand here today because of the love of the production staff. It was fun from the bottom of my heart to shoot with all of these people. I got to play Ultraman with everyone, which was an irreplaceable and important memory". "I`m really happy to be in movies with Geed, R/B and Taiga for three consecutive years," said Tatsuomi Hamada (Riku Asakura/Ultraman Geed). "It`s actually four times now [laughs]. It`s a great honor." Ryosuke Koike (Isami Minato/Ultraman Blu) noted that, "[After playing a rookie Ultraman last year] I think I became a senior for the first time and was able to show a different side of Blu from the time of ULTRAMAN R/B. Everyone can look forward to that." Inoue concluded by saying, "Taiga is Taro`s son, so during filming I wanted to see if I could show the bond between parents and children. It was wonderful... and I`m proud to have worked hard with my seniors on this shoot. I think it is an absolutely interesting work, so please look forward to it."
