Bushiroad Launches GODZILLA CARD GAME

Toho Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Hiroyasu Matsuoka) and Bushiroad Co., Ltd. (Head office: Nakano-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takaaki Kidani) are pleased to announce that the first three products from the new GODZILLA CARD GAME (ゴジラカードゲーム, Gojira Kādo Gēmu) - two Starter Decks and one Booster Pack - were released on Saturday, July 5th.

In the GODZILLA CARD GAME, the Godzilla series moves the stage from the movie screen to the game board, and a major battle over the series' 70-year history. As a card game of attack and defense, it will offer a new playing experience that evokes the Godzilla movies and images. Bushiroad is a partner with Toho for this game, providing sales support at TCG (trading card games) specialty stores and mass retailers and also operating official tournaments and events in Japan and the United States.

The GODZILLA CARD GAME contains Red, Blue, and White cards in four different types: "Monster Cards" (怪獣カード, Kaijū Kādo), "Battle Cards" (交戦カード, Kōsen Kādo), "Strategy Cards" (戦略カード, Senryaku Kādo), and "Rage Cards" (怒りカード, Ikari Kādo). Players can choose one color and build a 54-card deck with cards of that color. They may also include White cards which can be used in decks of any color. Up to 4 cards with the same number can be included in each deck.

The player can achieve an "Attack Victory" (進攻勝利, Shinkō Shōri) by attacking their opponent's "Monster Card," or a "Repel Victory" (撃退勝, Gekitai Shōri) by defending against the opponent's "Monster Card" four times.

GODZILLA CARD GAME cards measure 2.48 x 3.46 inches (6.3cm x 8.8cm).

STARTER DECKS

The two Starter Decks give the purchaser everything they need to start playing the GODZILLA CARD GAME. Each includes a deck of 60 cards, with the cards exclusive to each Starter Deck, plus a playmat, rules sheet, and one "Godzilla VS Godzilla" Booster Pack.

FUTURE PRODUCT INFORMATION

The second Booster Pack, "Monsters Raid Again: Great Battle "G"" (逆襲の怪獣大決戦“G”, Gyakushū no Kaijū Daikessen “G”) will be released on Saturday, October 4, 2025! It will include cards from the TV anime CHIBI GODZILLA RAIDS AGAIN (ちびゴジラの逆襲, Chibi Gojira no Gyakushū), as well as foil-stamped autograph cards of the cast members.
