MONSTER STRIKE THE MOVIE: JOURNEY BEYOND THE SKY is directed by Hiroshi Nishikiori (AZUMANGA DAIOH, TRINITY SEVEN) and features the voices of Masataka Kubota (RUROUNI KENSHIN Trilogy, DEATH NOTE television series, TOKYO GHOUL), Alice Hirose (THE SEA OF SEIRO: DETECTIVE MITARAI’S CASEBOOK, ACID BLACK CHERRY: L, HYOUKA: FORBIDDEN SECRETS), Yoshimasa Hosoya (FREE! -TIMELESS MEDLEY-), Aoi Yuki (KAMEN RIDER GHOST THE MOVIE, YOUR NAME, DORAEMON THE MOVIE: NOBITA’S TREASURE ISLAND) and Koichi Yamadera (SPACE BATTLESHIP YAMATO 2199, ULTRAMAN ORB THE MOVIE, POKÉMON THE MOVIE: THE POWER OF US). STORY Thirteen years ago, Tokyo was split in two as a section (now called "Old Tokyo") was levitated high above the rest of the city ("New Tokyo").... Kanata, a boy who was born and raised at ground level in New Tokyo, has a strange mark on his right hand. All his life, he wanted to know the meaning of that mysterious marking. One day, a girl with blue hair called Sora realized that Old Tokyo would soon fall to earth. She left the aerial city to find Kanata in the hopes of averting this disaster. "Only you can save the world!" Sora exclaimed, inviting Kanata to the Old Tokyo floating in the air. There, Kanata encountered many monsters including the vampire siblings Toya and Yuna, who have a strong desire to save their world. The enemy was Senju, leader of the "Liberation Front", who planned to bring Old Tokyo crashing down on New Tokyo. Kanata, Sora, and the vampires join forces to stop him.
