Factory TV’s Kaiju Movie Marathon in July, Shout! Factory TV has once again teamed up with the monster magazine Famous Monsters of Filmland to bring you the Kaiju Movie Marathon: Gamera’s Revenge! Featuring 11 Gamera films and hosted by Kaiju expert August Ragone, the monster mayhem will stream live for 16 hours on October 17 from 8am ET to midnight ET. The marathon marks the 50th anniversary of the first Gamera movie release in Japan. The marathon will feature all 11 classic Gamera movies in chronological order from both the original Showa series (1965-1980) and the Heisei trilogy (1995-1999).     And this time he`s bringing some friends... June 20, 2015 - San Leandro, CA; Bay Area Film Events is bringing the King of all Kaiju back to the Bal Theatre for their fourth annual Godzilla Night! This year features an expanded show with an extra, bonus matinee. First up at 3:00PM is a matinee of the film that kicked off Godzilla Night in 2012, the biggest monster battle of them all, KING KONG VS. GODZILLA. Along with the 1962 full-color classic, there will also be Godzilla clips and trailers. The main show kicks off at 7:00PM (doors open at 6:00PM) with a mini film fest based on the upcoming documentary KAIJU GAIDEN. "Kaiju" is the Japanese word for "monster", meaning "strange beast".
